Contract Negotiations

Members,

As you are aware the city and the APA are currently at an impasse with the 2009 contract negotiations.  As part of the process to resolve this conflict both sides will be meeting with an arbitrator this Saturday and Sunday July 19th and 20th.  This meeting will take place at the Doubletree Hotel on Iliff/I225 at 0900 hours.  The boards of both the Fraternal Order of Police and the Aurora Police Association encourage our members to attend the hearings in a show of solidarity.  We are respectfully requesting officers to attend the hearings to demonstrate that we are unified in our efforts to resolve this dispute in a positive way.

While we realize that all of you have other commitments and responsibilities, your presence, however brief, would be greatly appreciated.
